Troop 2512

Girl Scouts from Troop 2512 participated in the annual Food Drive held Wednesday, December 14, 2011.  The troop delivered a total of 58 pounds of food to the Crowley Christian Care Center.  Pictured, left to right, are:  Lauren Stewart, Lauren Hoffpauir, Ali Mire, Mary Catherine Stoute, Delanie Fuselier, Eulalie Cormier, and volunteer Dr. Craig Brammer.    Also participating but not pictured was Amanda Cormier.

Girl Scout Troop 2512 were invited to attend the R & L Carriers New Orleans Bowl to watch ULL play against San Diego, Saturday, December 17, 2011.  The troop spent the day in New Orleans walking around touring the "Big Easy,” attended the pep rally held at Championship Square, then were escorted onto the field of the Superdome to watch pre-game activities and led the National Anthem prior to the start of the game.  This was the first time these scouts visited the Mercedes Benz Superdome and had the best time watching their team, ULL, win the championship.  Participating, left to right, are:  Delanie Fuselier, Amanda Cormier, Eulalie Cormier, Lauren Stewart, and Lauren Hoffpauir. 

Troop 457

Troop 457 in Lake Charles conducted a food drive for Oak Park Pantry at their school from November 1-15.  It was extremely successful.  Oak Park Pantry made 3 trips to pick up food during those dates.  The picture attached shows the girls with a thank you card they made for their school to say "thank you” for giving so generously.  


Troop 218 has been busy since we formed as a new Troop here in Natchitoches, LA this year (2011. Our Troop consists of 16 young ladies eager to be involved in the community.  Troop Leaders/Assistants include: Patricia Franks, Donna Penrod, Candice Watkins, Tammy Hall, Micky Harper, Jamie Joines, Briana Megee, Chasity Tousek and Scarlett Vascocu.

The first service project we participated in was collecting food for the needy.  This was done at one of our November meetings.  However, we forgot to snap a picture.  The next thing we did was participate in the Junior Parade on Christmas Festival Day.  See picture.  Pictured L-R are: Grace Penrod, Hannah Carnline, Haley Franks, Carlie Bumgardner, Emily Bumgardner, Ariana Rachal, Makayla Metoyer, Madeline Harper, Cylie Braud, Cayleigh Braud, and Caitlyn Braud.  (Not pictured are Hannah Watkins, Olivia Gillis, Haylee Tousek, Martha Megee and Karsyn Vascocu).

Finally, we made cards for residents of the local nursing homes.  Making cards in the first picture are Daisies and Brownies Carlie Bumgardner, Ariana Rachal, Martha Megee, Haylee Tousek, Madeline Harper, Olivia Gillis, Hannah Carnline, Karsyn Vascocu, Cayleigh Braud, Cylie Braud and Caitlyn Braud.  Making cards in the second picture are our Juniors Grace Penrod, Haley Franks, Emily Bumgardner, Hannah Watkins and Makayla Metoyer and Assistant Sabrina Burkey.


Troop 2136

Here is a pic of our elves delivering baskets to the Fire stations. This picture was taken at the fire station on Mudd Avenue. We visited 12 fire stations in all!

On December 8,2011 the girls got to make and bring an ornament to hang at City Hall in Eunice, LA 

Troop 2671

Junior Troop 2671 went Toys for Tots shopping at Big Lots in Lafayette. Then they enjoyed a swim in the indoor pool at the Robichaux Center.
