Written permission from the parent or guardian is required before a girl can become a registered member of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. The completed registration form must be received by the leader before a girl can participate in meetings or other Girl Scout activities. Dues and appropriate registration paperwork must be submitted to the council service center immediately.
There should be a permission slip for every activity that is held at a different time and place from the regular troop meeting time and/or place or that involves unusual risks or sensitive issues. NO "BLANKET PERMISSION” IS VALID.
